  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Pelvic pain
  • Post-partum tearing/episiotomies

When should you consult a pelvic health physiotherapist?

If you have:
  • Leaking of urine, gas, or stool
  • Frequent trips to the washroom
  • Feelings of pressure or heaviness in your vagina
  • Pain (specifically in your pubic bone, groin, back, pelvis or buttocks)
  • Bulging or tenting of your abdomen when performing exercise or getting out of bed
  • Pain with intercourse
  • Scarring from episiotomies, C-section or childbirth
  • Scarring from other abdominal or pelvic surgeries
  • Questions about how you can maintain an active lifestyle
DID YOU KNOW?
  • Males can experience urine leakage too. This most commonly occurs after removal of the prostate.
  • Males can also be bothered by frequent rips to the washroom or pelvic pain.
  • It is estimated that 3.5 million Canadians experience some form of unwanted leakage.
